5th in the Division, 9th in the Conference, we miss the playoffs this year. Goaltending will be our weakness, Serebryakov will be our most inexperienced goalie we've had in the history of the franchise and it will come back to bite us. Unless we trade for someone mid-year or earlier like when we picked up Jeff Weber 10 years ago, we're going to be in trouble this year. Just my opinion, of course I'm hoping for a division and conference title but just being realistic with our young team.

Yeah ours isn't the best this year but teams have won titles with really bad goaltending and team have been knocked out of the first round with the leagues best goalie. Either way, the other 18 guys are much more important at this level. As for my prediction, I have us 4th in the division and 6th in the conference. I'll also throw out my breakout player prediction. I'll say Bennett and Artemov breakout. (Didn't say Stephens cause he's played on the international stage so he's already broken out to a certain extent.)

I'm not predicting where we'll finish, because I don't know enough about this year's team yet to do that, but I predict we at least make the first round of the playoffs. I think our days of missing the playoffs are behind us.

The Greyhounds will likely be the big winner in our division. I really can't say how the Spirit will do--a team this young could go a lot of different ways. Ask me at the quarter pole. But I do think it will be lower rather than higher.

The Soo is the class of the division this year, no question about that. I say 2-5 is a toss up and should prove to be very competitive. My prediction is the Spirit finish 3rd in the division and 7th in the conference. Plan on spending at least enough extra money to cover three home playoff games and don't be surprised if it works out to 5 home games. This team is better than everybody is giving them credit for. It has been a long time since I've been this excited for a season to start. These guys are going to be fun to watch.

"You all are free to make whatever predictions you might want to offer. Here's mine: I think the Spirit will play more home games this playoff season than they ever have in their history."

I'm trying to figure out what point you are trying to make, but for the life of me, I got nuthin'. Are we not all free to make whatever predictions we want? Said that. Is your point that my prediction didn't come true? Well guess what, predictions are kind of like that. They are fun to make and hardly every play out they way they are predicted. Is the point you like living in the past? Different strokes I guess. I prefer looking ahead and not dwelling in the past. I see good things coming for this team and I am not afraid to predict that. Even if it doesn't play out the way I lay it out for them. You see, those things don't bother me because I am a fan of this team and a fan of the game. In case you are not sure what that means, I will share with you one definition from Dictionary.com; Fan-an enthusiastic devotee, follower, or admirer of a sport. As a fan I will always approach each new season with a positive point of view.

3rd in the division, 7th in the conference. First round playoff exit in five games.
I look for a young, energetic team to watch, but I don't have a whole lot of expectations. Last year was hard on the franchise, so I think we'll have a new culture and outlook for this team. May not do the best standings-wise, but they will compete.

Well I guess I will go out on a limb on day 2nd in the division and 4th in the conference. The spirit will trade or pick up a veteran goalie by the christmas break. The young guns will carry this team along with Stephens. I will also say Felhaber is the OHL ROOKIE of the year ! I like our veteran defensive core. I don't see scoring being much of a problem this year, special teams will be fun to watch. As long as we can STOP taking STUPID penalties we can win this year.

I will also say Felhaber is the OHL ROOKIE of the year ! I like Felhaber and all but ROTY is probably going to Pavel Zacha this year.

Zacha's performance in the preseason has been pretty impressive, for sure.
