Crawford played in the OJHL for Whitby last year btw Stu. I agree with keeping some players down a year. I thought Middleton would be in the OJHL this year but limited man power on the blueline dictates that he stays. Would love to see us sign a 17/18 yr old D man from the pipeline (not Subban) and send Middleton down to fine tune things.

Alright, that was funny <tips hat to kidowsley>. I will be at the Rob Zombie concert myself. Perhaps I can give a review of the mosh pit later. Hope the Spirit will win without me. I sure didn't help when I was there Wednesday. How was the concert? Sure seemed like there were a lot of people there...definitely not a fan of Rob Zombie but lots are and when we left the game it was cool to see all the lights and hear the music from the FM Pavilion. This was my third Rob Zombie concert spanning fifteen years. The first one, at Cobo arena, he had video screens, 10 foot inflatable robots moving on the stage, pyrotechnics and dancers. The second one, at DTE Energy Music Center three years ago, had video screens and some pyrotechnics. Yesterday, there were no screens and no pyrotechnics. Not sure if that was limited by the First Merit Pavilion design or just a lower budget tour. Rob Zombie still rocked the place. My son and I were near the left side of the stage. This was the closest I have ever been. So we could see the artwork on the guitars, the costumes, and facial expressions that I could never see before. All in all, it was a good time. The crowd provided lots of opportunities for "teaching moments". Pretty much the same stuff one can see at a Lions game at Ford Field. The exception would be the funny smelling cigarettes. Oh, do wear earplugs. It may have not looked like a lot of speakers, but it was still loud. Glad the Spirit won. It looked like both events ended at about the same time.

"lots of opportunities for teaching moments"--I love that. (Speaking as someone with sons who would probably be providing said teaching moments...) The OT meant we came out just in time to hear the encore. Sounded like everyone was having a good time. It was nice to see so many people downtown.
