After a pretty solid road trip (minus Erie) Saginaw returns to the Dow for 4 straight homes games. The first opponent for the homestand will be the Windsor Spitfires. A very winnable game against an underachieving team with a lack of real fire power besides Ho-Sang. Might be a good night to give Ovsjannikov a game, but I'm not counting on it.
GO SPIRIT!!!

IF you can believe everything on the interwebs, sounds like we may not see Mr Ho-Sang tonight....
*edit*
another "source" says he's not on the bus headed our way

Another game the Spirit need to find a way to win. A team with less points in the standings who just traded their most talented player you would think would be ripe for the picking. But with all the issues surrounding Ho-Sang, Windsor might feel liberated. Saginaw better be ready.

2-0 Spirit end of 2. Goals from Moutrey and Cairns. Huge extended penalty kill helped and then scoring right after made it that much better. Windsor is coming on though. Need a big third.

Very disappointing result. I made the comment with 7 minutes left that the Spirit were letting the Spits hang around and it cost them. Saginaw just couldn't get it through their heads that if they would stay out of the penalty box they'd win the game.

Horrible third period! You have to play 3 periods guys. Not bad the first 2 periods.

-Penalties really did us in. Having to kill that many penalties will wear you down. Being down a man also didn't help (really dumb play on Stewart's part). As a result we got tired, and Windsor took advantage.
-Jake got us a point but why not give Ovjannikov this game?
-After playing the system well so far, looks like Jimmy is going back to try to dangle his way to the net and holding the puck WAY too long. I'm not saying he's a bad player, he just isn't a Gilbert type forward. He needs to be in a much more open system.
