If you're not following the second round, you're missing that a team (Guelph) that had 9 more wins than us in the regular season is getting trounced by the Soo just as bad as we did. Says a lot for Cormier and our young team and once again, makes me excited for next year and even more for the following year.

Guelph has given up 22 goals to the Soo in the first 3 games. Cormier gave up 17. I am very excited about the future of this Spirit team.

Let's take a look at the SSM Guelph series so far shall we.
Game one SSM wins 7-4. game two SSM wins 9-3, game three SSM wins 6-1 Ok, let's check the math. 7+9=16, 16+6=22. Now let's look back on the first three games of the Spirit series shall we.
Game one SSM wins 5-1, game two SSM wins 8-2, game three SSM wins 4-0. Now let's check that math: 5+8=13, 13+4=17.
Imagine that. Those are the exact same numbers I used in my original post. I didn't use a 4 game sample since Guelph and the SSM haven't played 4 games yet.

Soo finishes the sweep of Guelph with a 3-2 victory. Erie sweeps London. So as many probably anticipated for most of the year, it will be the Soo vs. Erie in the West Finals. I think the Hounds are pretty much unbeatable right now; I don't think the Otters have the horses to keep up with them.

I'm rooting for Erie just because they are a USA based team and Williams is a Saginaw native. Go Erie!

The one thing that can beat a big/physical team like the Soo is a team that is faster than them. I said it before on HFBoards before the playoffs started, I think it's gonna be Erie vs Oshawa in the finals. I'll stick to that. McJesus leads the Otters and beats the better team. Otters in 7.

I might side with the Otters if they hadn't lost two guys to lengthy suspensions against London. That hurts them enough depth-wise that I think the Soo will eke out the win.

This time of year is when it really stinks that we don't have televised OHL games.

I watched London-Erie on the NHL Network the other night, and they were also going to show G4. Although now that the NHL playoffs have started, I don't know if they will continue to show any CHL games.

Although now that the NHL playoffs have started, I don't know if they will continue to show any CHL games. I think they replayed game 4 on Wednesday afternoon. Why they couldn't show it live on Tuesday night is beyond me. Instead we got the Eastern Conference Stanley Cup playoff preview show replayed 10 times over on Tuesday. What a joke!
