From my goon sources around the league, it has been revealed to me that apparently there will be a new goon sighting in Saginaw before the games this weekend. Click and Sing Along: www.breadsite.org/midi/when_the_saints_go_marching_in-2.mid"Oh when the Goons, go marching in" "Oh when the Goons go marching in" "Oh how they'll kick, all of your arses" "Oh when the Goons, go marching in"

The Saginaw news quoted Watson in the Sunday paper saying that the team has no one to protect thier skilled players. Was that a message to Edwards to go get someone? We have a couple guys that will fight, but Breen re hurt his shoulder fighting, Sinfield hurt his hand in his fight, Allicock will be someone to be watch, but he is young yet. We need a 19-20 year old monster who'll pound a guy like Davey (?) when he pulls the BS he did with Mursak.
Can we bring back Harrison? Dix?
I like the team we have, just missing a setup guy for Musrak and Zaborsky, and a tough guy.

I think your right about Allicock. What a plus, a guy that can play and contirbute as well as stick up for his teammates. versus sit the bench take a few shifts a game and get into a few fights.
Goon Update: There probably will not be a new gone in town by this weekend, but the team is working on one.
I saw coach Watson this afternoon and asked him if the rumors were true.. He just got a big smile on his face!!!!
So either that means he thinks I'm an idiot for following rumors on the message boards or he's a happy man that is getting his tough guy!!!!!

I beleive one is already here on a try-out basis. It just hasn't been announced yet since he hasn't "made" the team.

from the info i got, it is a Sunderman type of player. I LOVED THAT GUY!!! The game he got his match penalty was home to the infamous "1-man line change". For those that don't think a brawler has a place in big-time hockey, check out the Syracuse Crunch (AHL) and how Jon Mirasty, one of the toughest in the LNAH (Fighting League in Quebec) has done pretty well and even though he doesn't play often, his presence as a healthy scratch keeps the other teams tough guys as scratches as well. That is a thing that people don't realize. The other teams will scratch their big fighters/hitters if you have someone you can dress that will mess up their pretty face

thanks for the info sagdude, i still don't know who it is but i'm anticipating the game tonight.
for those unaware of tough guys in the league, look for the new guy to take on Mashinter and Allicock will probably go with Mascioli.
Actually, i am going to make that my lock of the night, for not just one, but two guaranteed fights. Go ahead folks, bet the ranch on this one and if you feel like getting my NHL guaranteed, lead pipe lock of a fight, just call 1-900-BET-FIST.

You lose don! Looking at the scoresheet, there is no new player in the lineup.
Oh, and on an unrelated topic, the snow is a fallin'!!!!!

well, the prediction sure fell through...there was no new goon (he is here though, but isn't ready to play). Mashinter was matched up against our scoring line and I never saw Macaroni on the ice for Kitchener. Sorry folks, bad information.
In other news, i am happy to say that 11 people have called my 900 number for the NHL Fight Lock of the Year!!!!

He is skating with the team, however I must admit, I'm uncomfortable referring to him as a goon. He might play shortly because they will have room, since I believe Murzak has left for World Juniors and gone till after the Xmas break.
