Saginaw goes 0-3 on the weekend, losing 3-1 today to Guelph. After not winning a game in over a month, the Storm won all 3 games they played this weekend. Zaborsky scored the lone goal for the Spirit, while for former Spirit player Tim Priamo had a goal today.

pretty awful game...showed potential to be exciting. Neither team really played good, Guelph just played less crappy. Thought we might end up with a goalie fight at the end of the 2nd...that would have been fun. If you saw the game today and think that we don't need 1 (or 2) goon, you're crazy. We've got these pipsqueaks taking runs and pissing off our skill players.
BTW...my opinion on the major penalty in the 3rd was that it was not that big of a deal. It looked like a pretty clean hit but i guess the guy got hurt.

Agreed on the boarding major. The call on Williams for slashing Rotter was the worst call of the season. (Except for the goal/no goal thing in Sarnia, and the badness of that one makes it classic) I happened to be watching as the two of them skated up ice, each casually flicking their sticks at the backs of each others' legs. All of a sudden Rotter dropped like he'd been shot with a deer rifle. Seriously--he couldn't even have FELT that stick hit his leg. Williams got hosed big time. That was a 5 on 3 which led to Guelph's first goal.

He did try to challenge rotter later which I thought was funny since Williams is a wuss and only challenges guys half his size...i really wanted to see Williams get his butt kicked last night knowing it was his last game.
