Our players need some rest or some more bodies to fill in. We went to Oshawa one of the better teams in the East with 9 forwards and 5 D and played a pretty good game then play the following night in Guelph and don't play very well because they are tired. There are not many teams that can play in this league with this number of players. Now the trades start we trade Asselin and get picks no one to replace him then we trade Williams and Mursak and get 1 skater to replace 2 we are going the wrong way with these numbers. The players that we have are playing a ton like McDonough, Combs, Zaborsky and they look as if they are exhausted, they do not have the jump they need come the third period that we did at the start of the year. The mistakes penalties/bad passes etc are made alot more when you are tired than when you are not.
What has happened to Patton? He stayed when he was hurt and I've heard that he is playing in Cambridge so why is he not back with us? I thought that he was one of the better players in the summer camp.
Hopefully they will get some help. The Christmas break could not come at a better time.

the three players you mentioned Z, McD, and Combs, if you watched yesterday, were all fighting their own fights. McD got in a fight, Combs challenged a couple guys, and Z was in the middle of at least 2 scrums.
A LEGIT toughguy solves this "tired" problem you speak of. I agree that they are tired but I disagree that it is the problem. The toughguy (or 2) IS the answer and i've been saying that since THE PRESEASON. We do have a toughguy in town but he's not ready to take the ice and might not ever. We NEED a guy that can step on the ice this week and throw some shoulders and knuckles.
I have read that Brian Soso is available and I would love to have him because he's tough and has a pornstar mustache.

I think using the depth in the lineup would help as well. I noticed both in Oshawa and Guelph all players were being played but again yesterday the bench was shortened. The 4th line needs to play in order to develop and I personally see some skill from those players and would like to see them play more. I agree a fighter would help open some ice.
