Farewell from Cameron Knowles
Cameron Knowles begins his new career with the Durham Bulls baseball team in Durham, North Carolina on Monday, December 17th as a Sponsorship Account Executive.
"I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone involved with the Spirit for their help and support over the past six years. This community along with my talented co-workers, make the Spirit the best franchise in Sports. Period.
If you find yourself in North Carolina, please look for me at the Durham Bulls baseball games. I can't thank everyone enough for their support and good words as I make this transition in my career."

It sure will be strange not to see Cameron around the arena, and to not hear his infectious laugh on the airwaves. You surely will be missed by all Cam, and I hope that the Bulls know how big of a catch they are landing with the addition of yourself. Now that I think of it, we should have had some kind of trade with them shouldn't we?? Maybe Crash Davis and Millie for you, with the rights to Michael Jordan thrown in as well?

Thanks for everything Cameron!Hope you come back to visit. I hope we still see you around the boards here! You have been one of the biggest & most important parts of Spirit hockey in Saginaw since day 1... it will never be the same again without you!
I think along with the "Let's go Spirit" chant at the games this weekend we should include a "THANK YOU CAMERON" to the same beat!!! Who's with me?

Even before Cam joined the staff, his discussions of bringing hockey back to Saginaw and on saving the civic center on his radio show, shows how much he cared about this community. I don't think we're unique, I think Cam is the type of guy that embraces whatever community he's in and claims it as home. Huston Texas, Detroit, Saginaw, ... Durham North Carolina is the next lucky community. I know he will never forget us, and he'll still consider us home just like the rest of the stops he's made. He's left a positive impact on every community. Good luck Cam, it has been a pleasure and an honor knowing you.
