Yeah Fic is actually starting to grow on me now that I think of it. He's humorous at times with his one liners.

I find it hilarious that Ficorelli literally "runs over" Holmes anytime Warren tries to get a word in edgewise.
For all those defeatists who thought the world was ending last summer with all the changes don't look now. This club is VERY well coached, youthful and a club I'd put out on the ice against last year's team without any hesitation.
Congrats to the kids on this club and the staff for a job well done at the mid-season point. Quite an accomplishment with the "Sky is Falling" posts we saw on here last summer.
With today's effort Combs has moved into the OHL's Top 10 in scoring!
Merry Christmas gentlemen - enjoy it and see you in Plymouth on the 27th!

I noticed that too. But considering they had two games together--which would be their first and last games together--I'm going to let that go. I do find it funny that we are all sticking up for Warren Holmes on here when many of us--and I include myself--were banging our heads about him on the Forum not too long ago. So I guess that is one more reason to give the new guy a chance, eh?? That said--I'm not sure anyone will replace Greg Brady in my heart. He was awesome. Terrific job by the Spirit today under extremely adverse circumstances. Sounds like Ryan Daniels picked them up and carried them, and that was what we needed. That last 1:19 was hair-raising to say the least!! And, like Holmes, I cringed when they went to replay, as we've had such good luck with it lately!!

I think this was a real encouraging sign. All things point in the right direction. First, we have a great tandem in net, with Daniels getting "pushed" (maybe out) by Pasquale. No doubt the team has to feel good about that. Secondly, when I look at all the players who are over achieving this season, Combs, McDonough and guys like Smith, Murovich I am really encouraged that Watson knows how to the get the most out of the Vets.
Then factor in the most important aspect of this team, its YOUTH. I am really wowed by Szwarz, Crawford, Brodie, Comrie and all the young guys who are coming along nicely.
Great job guys, so far you have hustled to take down some pretty good teams including at times the top team in the OHL (Kitchener) todays 7 game win streakers and points off Sault, Belleville and Windsor.
So many encouraging signs that I hope management realizes we're heading in the right direction - lets keep er going.

When Sinfield and Jason Mcdonaugh come back I think we will actually have a solid team.
