The hockey gods just did not like us tonight, people. Early in the first, Guy made partial stops on TWO different shots, both of which stopped right on the goal line. Had either of them gone it, maybe it was different. But probably not, because it was one of those nights where nothing went right. Pasquale wasn't horrible, but obviously wasn't great either. Daniels made several spectacular saves to keep the Knights from winning bigger than they did. (Aside: hopefully Daniels is still starting tomorrow night) Two goals disallowed for the Spirit. (And the whistle was very, very early all night long). It seems London reacted to their trade much like we did--they went out and won. Granted, Mason would not have been there tonight anyway. But I can't see them doing too much the rest of the season. Their goalie proved it is better to be lucky than good, and their defense, frankly, was very questionable. We didn't help much by playing as if WE had the bus legs for the first half of the game. A game the Spirit should have won. Hopefully the 2 points don't come back to bite them somewhere along the line.

Tonight was penalty night and just everyone was scattered everywhere. Daniels was on key though so I won't knock him.

If someone is crashing the net on both of these, they have an easy poke in for a goal. Was nobody on the doorstep to try and knock these pucks over the goal line??

Well I'm glad you think he was on key..but in all honesty he has been for quite a few games. I agree with whoever said he should be getting every start until he has a bad game. He has been phenomenal for us as of lately, and has kept us in many games. After last night I have very very little confidence in going with Pasquale and trading Daniels. I think Daniels should stay put, as he should be our starter unless something happens and he starts playing crappy..Just a hunch but we can't afford to let Pasquale lose games for us, mind you the rest of the team wasnt playing 100% but Daniels seemed to adapt very well. If Daniels would've started or had been put in sooner the game could've gone an entirely different way.

Like I said, SSF, the hockey gods weren't with us. Both times Guy got a glove on the puck, which was just out of reach of a Spirit player. It seemed like all night, pucks were just out of reach.

Just a hunch but we can't afford to let Pasquale lose games for us He is now 2-1 with Saginaw. Last week he was a savior after going 2-0 in his first two starts, now he loses one & he's a heel. Ahh, the life of a goalie.
