14 days and 7 games to go for seeds 5-8 in the regular season, and today is yet another crucial day as the Spirit head to Plymouth to take on those stinkin' Whalers. Hopefully the Spirit can put last night's game behind us and come out flying today. We're due for a win at Compuware. Anyone making the trip down? Let's go Spirit!!!
Other games today: Guelph at Brampton 2pm, Kitchener at Sarnia 7pm.

And in somewhat of a surprise, Pasquale is back and in goal. And not such a surprise--Combs with a penalty for elbowing 17 seconds in. And Plymouth scores. Wow. Right from the faceoff for Fournier. This doesn't look good.

Today marks the return of Plymouth's coach Greg Stefan from an 8 game suspension. Also Leo Jenner is back from his 20 games of vacation time.

I see Comrie also picked up a 10 minute misconduct when Plymouth scored. Is it just me or is this guy racking up the misconducts lately?
EDIT: Fic just answered my question...that's his 3rd in the past week or so.

Not sure why they have Pasquale in goal when they are playing on Plymouth Ice and a game that NEEDS to have Daniels in.
Not to mention, the "GOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAL" and "ANDREW FOOOOOOOOOOURNIER AND CHRIS TEEEEEEERRY" is extremely annoying.

Hey Comrie--pretty tough for those NHL scouts to see you when you spend at least 10 minutes of every other game in the box..............

Smith's 3rd game in 2 1/2 days. So far doesn't seem to be hurting him. HAHA!! The puck is somewhere inside Eddie's uniform and no one can find it!!

And Daniels comes in to start the second period. Not having actually seen this, I have no idea if this is Pasquale's fault or not. But it had to be a gamble to start him, since he hasn't dress for the last three games..........

But it had to be a gamble to start him, since he hasn't dress for the last three games.......... Not a gamble at all. Todd Watson is not looking at these games the same way we are. He is trying to get this team ready for their playoff run. He needs Daniels rested and Pasquale sharp. There was no way he wanted to have Daniels start all four of these games. Pasquale was hurt so he wasn't able to start against Kingston or Belleville, which I believe he would have started both of those games as Watson has been pretty consistent in giving Eddie the starts against East Conference teams. That would have left Daniels well rested for both Windsor and Plymouth. Every game is a big game as far as positioning goes but Watson is not concerned with where the Spirit finish. He wants his team ready for the playoffs and he wants them to focus on the game at hand.
