So has everyone gone on to other things or are you still following the OHL playoffs?? There was a great game in Sarnia tonight with Kitchener pulling out a 3-2 win in 3 OTs. Mike Duco ended the game with a goal for Kitchener at the 11:30 mark of the 3rd OT. Kitchener led 2-0 at the end of 2 periods of regulation but Sarnia rallied with 2 goals in the 3rd period to send it to OT. Kitchener leads the series 2-0. In the other round 2 series:
Belleville leads Barrie 3-0 after a 2-1 win at home in game 3.
Niagara evened their series at 1-1 with Oshawa with a 5-3 win at home in game 2. Niagara fell behind 2-0 early and came back to win.
The Soo and Guelph are tied at 1 game apiece after the Hounds won game 2 at home 3-1. The Hounds dropped the 1st game at home 4-1. The series now shifts to Guelph for the next 2 games.

I will pretty much follow the season right to the end. I am even kicking around the idea of visiting Kitchener during the Memorial Cub. I thought about it when it was in London and kind of regret that I didn't go. Even without tickets, there is plenty of fun stuff to do. I haven't posted much here because this board tends to fall off quite a bit one the Spirit are done. It's too early to start talking about the upcoming drafts and pretty much all you get are updates about players who have moved on.
I must admit, I do keep track of former Spirit players and how they are doing with their respective playoff teams. I think there are more former Spirit players still playing than in any season I can remember. Still playing with Barrie, Ryan Berard and Andrew Clouthier. With Belleville, Jon Mursak, Nigel Williams and Parker VanBuskirk. With Oshawa Patrick Asselin. With Niagara, Scott Fletcher and Matt Corrente. With Sarnia, Steven Whitely and with Guelph, Tim Priamo. That's six of the eight second round teams with plays who used to play here. Perhaps someone can correct me, but I just don't remember ever having 10 former Spirit players still playing in the second round for other teams.

I still sorta following the playoffs, and yes I have also noticed how this year there is a lot of former Spirit players still battling in the 2nd round. Hopefully next year we will finally get to the 2nd round...I was thinking last night during the Sarnia/Kitchener 3OT game how it would be awesome to have a game/atmosphere like that at the Dow.
But still lots of other things sport-wise going on now that the Spirit are done. Loons are starting up, Red Wings and Pistons playoffs right around the corner, and Tigers starting also (though there isn't much to say about them so far). Anyone been to a Sting game yet? I hear they're 3-0 right now. I'm sure once the OHL draft approaches and mid-summer trades start happening there will be lots to discuss.

I check the scores, and how each game goes. But with the Spirit out, my interest level isn't exactly red-hot. And as previously mentioned, lots of other sports activity to keep me busy, not to mention we have--hopefully--turned the corner and spring is here. Once the draft gets closer--or some other, unexpected big news--I'll be interested again.

The Soo scored a 2-1 victory over Guelph in Game 3 to take a 2-1 series lead. Game 4 is tomorrow. Actually every series has a game tomorrow I believe.

Kitchener sweeps out Sarnia with a 6-2 win in Game 4. Possibly could be Steven Stamkos's last game in the OHL...we'll see. Looks like a much-expected Kitchener vs. Soo matchup in the West Finals barring a major comeback by Guelph. Same can probably be said in the East as well.

I'm still waiting for my commission check!
It's so funny you would post this because I said the exact same thing when I read the article. The sad part is, it's not the first time. Should pretty much end any discussion about Mr. C's source for leads. Peace.

I read the article and I was honestly wondering if Mark C. just copy and pasted what was written above into his article, lol.
