The NHL Prospects Tournament in Traverse City is one of the best hockey values that you'll find anywhere. For $5 a day, you get to see 2+ games featuring NHL top prospects, including draft picks, free agents and even some minor leaguers. Hockey is excellent and the Centre Ice facility is very, very nice. Tickets can be purchased at the door.
We've gone up for the past 5-6 years and never been disappointed. Only problem this year is that the Spirit have pre-season games on Friday and Saturday nights. However, we'll be there for Monday and Tuesday games (no games scheduled on Sunday).

Red Wings played this afternoon for 5th place in the tournament (8 teams participated). They went 1-2 in their bracket.
St. Louis beat the Wings 5-3 (empty net goal at the end). Game was evenly played. Jan Mursak played most of the game on a line with Zack Torquato. Jan played very well, but didn't put any points on the board (he had an assist in last night's loss to the Rangers and also rang an awesome slap-shot off the crossbar). Zack had a goal and an assist today and played a ton of minutes (double-shifted many times). His dad told me after the game that Zack's weekend performance earned him a spot in the main Red Wings' training camp, which starts on Friday.

Johnt thanks for the heads up on Traverse City got to see some real good hockey. Best part was im standing there watching Birner play two players get into a fight. When it's all over they start to play kung-fu fighting I hear the guy next to me start singing along , I look to my left it's Brett Hull.
