Now that this season is over and a new one awaits us, I offer this thought.
Why not keep Prosvetov?
OK, I know most of us out in Spirit nation harbor great resentment to what his antics and home run swat resulted in...but the kid was 36-11-4 with a 2.9 GAA.
Lennox was 7-2-1 during the season and without doubt stood on his head in the playoffs, with indeed some great performances.
Together they make one heck of a goalie combination.
If we trade Prosvetov preseason, we go with Lennox, and who as a backup? What if Lennox gets hurt?
Why not start the season with both of them and see where we stand in December during trade time?
We might find the Prosvetov has matured and can indeed be even better then the year before.
Your thoughts.

Dont think it's any negative towards Prosvetov, but Lennox is good enough to be a starter in the league already. A really good one at that. Prosvetov is a 50+ game starting goalie. Only giving Lennox something like 18 starts is a slap in the face and likely a hindrance on his development. Would work out if they would so something like a 34 game split, but at that point why waste 2 limited spots on Prosvetov. In other words, not worth pissing off your goalie of the future. Backup goalies can be added to Lennox and that would open up an import and oa spot that can help the team in other ways

Proscetov will be the best goalie in the league. If either is traded I hope it’s to an eastern team. Also if Carter Garvie has improved like I’ve heard it might make a Lennox trade more desired based on the return you would get.

Good on him! Best of luck moving on...now why didn't we draft a second import?

Signing the contract doesn't mean he's gone. That just means that the coyotes have his rights for 3 years and will pay him... It's up to them where they want him to play. I expect Ivan to play a full season in the OHL for us or another team via a trade.

The article linked below says that the Coyotes are pretty set in both the NHL and AHL for next season. That means ECHL starter is the only real option for Prosvetov and there's another prospect from the WHL that seems just as good. They're not going to have one of these young goalies play backup in the ECHL over a full season in the CHL. I'd feel pretty comfortable betting a week's pay that he's in the OHL next season. howlinhockey.com/2019/03/05/arizona-coyotes-goaltender-prospects/

Congrats to him on his first start in the ECHL getting a shutout facing 30 shots.

I'm surprised... he was 3-1 with the AHL Tuscan Roadrunners team with a 1.98 behind Adin Hill at 5-1 with a 2.69. I don't understand why he was moved down. The other goalies on the Tuscan roster have seen little action.

I believe he is the clear #1 for Rapid City so will be playing most of the games there.

No, since he was playing well, I thought he might have possibly done something Prosvetovian again!
