Can anybody remember a three game road trip by the Spirit when none of the games were at night? They played Thursday at 11 AM, They play today at 4 PM and they play tomorrow at 2 PM. I can't remember another time when all three games were in the morning, or afternoon without a single night game. Can you?

I'm guessing that this is a first...I don't know if we've ever had a Saturday afternoon game...Sundays typically are but it seems like a rarity to have a Saturday matinee. After our win we'll only be 3 back from London after Owen Sound upsets them today.

I believe Hamilton always plays their Saturday home games at 4 pm. They know they can’t compete with Hockey Night in Canada on Saturday night.

It is a scheduling rarity for sure. Not that unusual to have a Sunday afternoon game, but to combine it with a rare Saturday afternoon game and an even more rare Thursday morning game makes for a very rare week of games.

Chris Lazary just referred to some of the online fans that were saying the team was worse with Bode Wilde back. Let’s just say he and I share the same opinion about those opinions!!

Bode must have been listening. He's having a pretty good game right now.

Nope, we went to Hamilton last February for the Spirit game and it was a 7pm start on a Saturday night. ontariohockeyleague.com/gamecentre/23796/play_by_play

The Spirit get six out of six points and now lead Flint by five points for first place in the West Division.

Six games left for both Saginaw and Flint. I like the Spirit's chances, but that's why they play the games.
Saginaw (3 home, 3 away) Home: Erie, Sarnia, Windsor Away: Windsor, Soo, Flint
Flint (2 home, 4 away) Home: Erie, Saginaw Away: Soo, London, Kitchener, Erie

Just need London to lose a game or three now... Why would we need London to lose any regular season games? We only need London to lose when the Spirit meet them in the Conference Finals. Then we want them to lose 4 games.

I get that, but there is no trophy for that, just home ice. That said, the Spirit play pretty good on the road, so I'm not concerned about that one bit. That said; "winning is like better than losing".

No sure how much home ice will matter with empty arenas. Might be better to be the away team.

No sure how much home ice will matter with empty arenas. Might be better to be the away team. I am definitely wondering at what point they stop letting people attend, and what the fear of Coronavirus will do to attendance. I know for one, I was planning on taking some trips to Canada for the playoffs, but I'm concerned with being stuck over there and having the borders get closed, so that might affect my travel plans a bit.
