This might be a good time to consider age changes for the CHL. Just curious, what changes do you think they need to make? With current lawsuits and dark history of issues in the CHL, Maybe they move the age of players to 17-21. It’s been discussed in the past and this might be the year they could actually do something like that with minimal impact.

Fair enough jimbo, I just wasn't sure where you were going with your original post on the subject. Merry Christmas.

Based on some AHL announcements today, if the Canadian Hockey League does not play this season, all junior-aged players are eligible to play in the AHL this season as long as they turned 18 by September 15, 2020. The NHL/CHL would also have to sign off on it. The AHL is scheduled to start on February 5. All Canadian teams opted in for the season, so I guess we might see Cole Perfetti in a Manitoba Moose jersey soon (not sure on ELC rules).

Looks like the OHL is kicking around a similar approach. This is from a tweet by Scott Wheeler: Sources: The OHL sent a memo to teams today with plans for restart:
- 24-game season - Four hub cities - March quarantines at home before arriving in host city - April 2-4 weekend target for start to season - Government mandated quarantines for imports
*Subject to gov. approval

I was communicating yesterday with a guy I know in Windsor who has been a billet family for a while and I asked if he was hearing anything about the OHL season there. His response was that he's hearing a lot of talk about "bubbling" the teams in certain areas of Canada and that we shouldn't expect any home games this year. While I really want to go to a hockey game right now, I'll take whatever I can get and watch it on the streaming. This is TOTALLY just rumors but I thought I'd share what I've heard from the other side of the border.

I made the decision a while ago that there would be no "live" hockey for me this season. I did buy the "full season" for the AHL. I'm getting all of the home and away games for all the teams. Been able see many former Spirit players score their first pro goals so that's been fun. I have watched one game today with two more to go today. Got my first Covid shot this week so that's good, but I'm still targeting fall for any live games. So for now instead of "Go Spirit", it's "Go Former Sprit".
