This was a lot more fun to watch then I thought it would be. Danny and Saginaw beat Matt Leduc and the Spokane Chiefs 7-3. Some random thoughts: -Perfetti got in a fight (and won) -Reed Duthie was doing PBP of the game, he calls games for Hamilton but it was still cool to see him keeping track of the action in this game. You could definitely tell he knew Saginaw's lineup a lot more than Spokane's. Just for a moment, if you forgot about everything going on in the world, it really felt like I was listening to a game on the radio. -Players are playing with their respective CHL teams, so Saginaw has a very slight advantage compared to some of the other teams -Katic did score as himself, that's got to be pretty cool. -Actually, Katic had a gordie how hatrick as well -I watched the first couple games, which were pretty tight games, but Katic's was by far the most dominant performance - as someone who has played his fair amount of "CHEL", he was very, very solid. Saginaw was up 6-1 in the third period at one point. I think this link should let you re-watch it: www.facebook.com/117518218301387/videos/2864331803836073/

On to the divison finals, Danny will play Medicine Hat tomorrow, December 14th at 6:15pm.
I've watched most of the games, I was a bit surprised to see Sudbury not only lose, but get shutout against a so-so Baie-Comeau team. Erie has also looked really strong. The Acadie-Bathurst/Peterborough game last night had a pretty crazy ending, A-B tied it up with I think 13 seconds left and then won it in OT. Winner of Saginaw/Medicine Hat takes on the winner of Vancouver/Mississauga.
I've really enjoyed watching these, kudos to the CHL for making this as interesting as they have.
