So far in the NHL Draft, Tristen Lennox was drafted by the Islanders and Josh Bloom was drafted by the Sabres in the 3rd round, just a couple of picks apart.

Islanders seem to have a little bit of a recent affinity for Saginaw, no?
Wilde and Coskey come to mind, now Lennox.

Congrats to Josh for being drafted in the third round. Great kid, really like him and his dad.
Also of note, former Spirit Ethan Cardwell was drafted by San Jose in the fourth round. Good for him. Wish he was still in a Spirit uniform, I was bummed when we traded him.

One could probably say this about a lot of players, but I think Cardwell would have gone higher had there been an OHL season. I think he's gonna have a monster year with Barrie.

Wish he was still in a Spirit uniform, I was bummed when we traded him. All the more painful in reminding that he was part of the Suzuki deal, which we arguably only got a handful of games out of. It was a great deal at the time, but given what happened, I do wish he was still in a uniform for us for this upcoming season. |

Totally agree. But no way could anyone see what was coming at the time. I had a blast watching Ethan at the last Spirit training camp. Definitely has skill. Just needed to hone it in a little bit.
