Firebirds President of Hockey Ops Expelled

Terry Christiansen, the President of Hockey Operations and GM for the Flint Firebirds, has been expelled from the OHL for violating league rules on harassment and diversity.

He made racially insensitive comments that were reported by a Firebirds' player. The OHL had an independent investigation conducted and the results were him being banned from the League.

It seems like many could have told you this 5 years ago when he was first suspended from the League.

The OHL needs to make an ownership change in Flint.

I'm not going to throw stones because it took us a LONG time to get some stability in Saginaw but that said, comparing Owners is like comparing Apples and those smashed crabapples on the ground that attract the bees. We've had our struggles but with Rolf in charge in Flint, it could be a circus forever.

Wonder if Matt Serra would ever consider buying the Firebirds to really inflame the rivalry between the two teams.
