Punnett sure gooned it up last night though. He was in the middle of everything.
I will say our goaltending has been spectacular and I think is the reason we've had so many one-goal games (up until the goaltender is pulled anyway). I think the work of Lennox and Oke might have hidden some of the holes we had longer than it might have other seasons as well.
Either way, there's a lot of talent here, it just needs to marinate a bit. Right now they're doubting themselves and you can see it as soon as they lose a lead. Once they seal one, I think it will help a lot. So much of this game is mental, and right now they need something to shift it.

Couple of things on the last couple of posts:
eric8199...I think your comments echo the overachieving nature of this first half. NO ONE expected us to be leading the conference this year and just because we were, doesn't mean we necessarily belong there. We're coming back to earth like a rocket and the goaltending is giving us a chance but we can't win games without scoring...certainly not in this league.
sf8...you're totally right on the construction of the Sarnia team. After seeing the purchased Sarnia and Windsor teams firsthand, I give Sarnia the advantage because I think they are more physical and a better defending team and while the Wright line may be the best in the West (or league), I think Sarnia has more depth and will beat them in a 7-game series.
While the Spirit played more physical last night against Barrie, we are severely undersized against these older teams and it showed this weekend.
Finally, what Parekh did last night was totally bush-league and he paid the price for it. That was at least a full second (if not more) after the whistle and he'll (hopefully) learn from it. If you do something like that, you better be ready to answer for it and he acted like he didn't do anything wrong. That's an over-confident rookie move and against big boys from Barrie, I wouldn't advise it.

DJ—Totally right on Parekh, and leaving out the cuss words, that’s almost exactly what I said at the time. It’s one of the only “dumb rookie” moves I’ve seen him do all year though, so this one time I’ll give him a pass. At least he didnt shoot it into the crowd…

Actually, I'm surprised it wasn't even bigger than it was. Everyone knows that's a major cardinal sin in hockey, and it was probably the latest I've ever seen someone take a shot after a whistle.
