I was at the Gens v. K-Wings game last night to see a HS friend who plays for the wings and for the first two periods Adam Sturgeon was paired defensively with Jason Wooley who recently signed with the Gens. Wooley would have gone unnoticed except for his PP goal. He got it on the doorstep and calmly waited and put it in. Sturgeon played ok but got replaced as Wooley's partner for the 3rd.
In the 2nd, the great sportsman Jim Duhart pulled Willy (Tyler Willis) into the flint bench and everyone started fighting. K-Wing goalie Chad Alban came over and tried to get Willy out and then a player on the Flint bench tried to spear Alban with his stick over the boards. A Wing player went after the stabber and then like 5 gens started beating on him (he somehow held his own though??). Meanwhile, this was Wooleys shift and as they were sorting out the penalties he was kind of skating around and you could just tell he was thinking, what the hell have I signed on for.
Sturgeon played a solid game, IMO.

Sturgeon played well in the game I went to a few weeks back against Derian Hatcher & the Motor City Mechanics. He played quite a bit & was on the ice in all situations. He has a pretty solid role on that team.
