I still don't like the little dive queen. I liked him the first year he was here but then his head got to big for his helmet. I guess I should congratulate him though for reaching his goal. I know the NHL guys will put him in his place if he tries to pull some of the crap he did while with us. Maybe there is more to the Moe Mantha situation in Windsor than meets the eye!! Remember that Moe was the coach here when Geoff had his run in with the team. Costa Papista wasn't excatly what I would call a great GM either. It's time to let bygones be bygones. Give the guy his props. He is the 1st former Spirit player to make it to the NHL and nothing changes that fact.

Here's what I posted last night on The NOOF about Platt's debut:
Platt played fairly well. He didn't look out of place (of course it is just the Blue Jackets ! haha! J/K!).
He played quite a bit in his debut. Played a regular shift, also got some 4 on 4 time & was even out there on the PP & PK!
Drew a penalty - but also received a penalty while trying one of his typical plays attempting to draw a penalty - he & a d-man from the other team were chasing down a puck, Platt jumped in front of the d-man & just STOPPED, trying to get the d-man to run over him & draw an interference penalty. Well, it may have worked in the OHL, but not in the NHL. Platt received a penalty for interference.

Platt was seny back down to Syracuse today (along w/6 others) since for some strange reason Columbus does not have another game until December 8th!

Platt and 6 other players including Dan Fritsche were sent back to Syracuse today. Columbus does not have another game until the 8th so this is likely an economic move more than anything. Another reason to send them down is so they get some games in during this lull in the Jackets schedule. Wouldn't surprise me if they are called up again for the game on the 8th. www.bluejackets.com/news/press/arts/2731.0.html

Geoff went back up right after the Syracuse game Sunday. Fritche and the Russian player went back up also. Geoff will get to play in the Columbus home game on Thursday. He got another goal Sunday night, that was hi 15. He was third in scoring in the whole AHL. Not bad for a rookie. Hopefully he get to play as much this week as last week (14:59). With a week to practice with the big team he should only improve. I know I'll be watching the game. Good Luck Geoff

Congrats to Platt, who not only was moved to the top line in Columbus (w/Fedorov & Vborny), but he also got his 1st NHL point (an assist on a Sergei Fedorov goal) tonight!

Platt is in the lineup tonight against the Red Wings on FSN for all of you without the NHL Center Ice package who haven't been able to see him in the NHL yet!
