I really thought he was going to make the team in Buffalo this year. They made a big deal of him throughout training camp & the preseason. Saturday night (for some reason) I got the MSG feed of the Buffalo/Pittsburgh game & the WHOLE game the focus was on Thorburn making the team. They interviewed him before the game, during intermissions, etc. & they were talking about how he has made a name for himself & is likely to make the team. Then they waive him? Hmm... at least he'll get a chance to make the team in Pittsburgh. I would say that at least he'll get to play w/Bissonnette again in the AHL, but Pittsburgh sent Bis all the way down to the ECHL!
