The year is 2013 and downtown Saginaw is starting to come around. Some businesses have relocated here and so the population of the surrounding area is slightly increasing. The Spirit will start the season in the new Dow Event Center’s 9,800 seat arena on the west bank of the Saginaw river, near the new children’s museum. Now what do we do with the old Dow event center?
1. Hope we land an arena football team to play there
2. Convert it into a multi level conference facility to go along with the new Saginaw Center across the street.
3. Make it a huge fish tank loaded with underwater tunnels, fake ship wrecks and great lakes fish, while turning the theatre into an Imax.
4. Tear down the arena and replace it with a new hotel conference center.
5. Do nothing and hope we can draw concerts and other sporting events and use it as a GSAHA overflow.
