How come Steve Mason hasn't been in net for the Rangers lately? Sorry I haven't been paying much attention lately...

How come Steve Mason hasn't been in net for the Rangers lately? Sorry I haven't been paying much attention lately... He had one of his knees scoped a few weeks ago. Still hearing varying news about whether or not he will be available to play in the Memorial Cup tournament.

Game 6 is all tied at 3 heading into the 3rd period. Nigel Williams has 1 of the Bulls goals. Kitchener has fought back from a 3-1 deficit to tie it.
EDIT: Bulls get an early 3rd period 5-on-3 PP goal to take a 4-3 lead. Nigel Williams gets a cross checking penalty with 3:37 to go to put the Rangers on the PP.
In other playoff action, the Wings lead Dallas 2-1 after 2 periods. Detroit is looking to take a 2-0 series lead.
EDIT: Wings still lead 2-1 with 4 minutes to play in the 3rd period.

Belleville wins it 6-3. Game 7 will be on Monday at The Aud in Kitchener. Go Bulls!
Red Wings also won over Dallas 2-1 to take a 2-0 lead in the West Finals. Got pretty chippy at the end there.

Wow, finally a game 7...I really wish we got some sort of television channel to watch these games. Do you folks with Dish/DirectTV out there have an opportunity to watch them? I may have to use the internet feed for this one.

Any predictions for tonight's game? I think the Rangers will get it done with a 5-3 win. These two teams will also meet again in 9 days for the Memorial Cup tournament.
Speaking of which...the other two teams are already set, as the Spokane Chiefs will represent the WHL and the Gatineau Olympiques will represent the QMJHL.

Kitchener leads 1-0 after 1 period in game 7.
EDIT: 2-0 Kitchener in the 2nd period.
EDIT: 3-1 Kitchener with about 5 minutes to go in the 3rd period.
EDIT: Duco with an empty netter seals it for the Rangers. Kitchener wins it 4-1 and are the 07-08 OHL champs. Kudos to Belleville for never giving up and pushing this series to 7 games. It's shaping up to be a great Memorial Cup tourney.

Congrats to the Rangers on their championship season. They were in control seemingly for the entire season. Also a great job by the Bulls for the way they bounced back. Plus they still got the Memorial Cup to look for. Should be an exciting tournament this year.
