man, as much as I like breen I am really liking this skellet kid. he seems to be the real deal here folks. almost like the missing piece to a puzzle as things seem to be coming together for the spirit right now. skellet, plus szwarz getting better by the day, chappell really starting to come on strong lately, and the continued solid play of murovich im starting to get really excited about this team. then throw combs on top of everything I just mentioned and our team is one step from changing from exciting to scary good. I also forgot to mention pasquale as he has played some fairly solid goaltending. he is only gonna get better. if these guys can get past the whalers tomorrow, im gonna be one happy spirit fan, and I better start seeing those seats start filling up.

I enjoy every second of it and I just know if more folks would give it a chance, they would see what we do. I know times are tough financially and that doesn't help, but this is one of the few things you can go and do where you can escape from the burdens of everyday living and at least for a few hours and relax and have some fun.

Well said, mievl. I have a tray I take to parties--it says "If it weren't for sports, what would we celebrate?" Simplistic, perhaps, but the way times are right now, very true.

We all knew someone had to go. Could be magnified now with Walch down. Hopefully Trecapelli can step in and do the job.
I wish we would have gotten Skellett earlier. He looks like a good fit. He almost blew the game today with his Houdini in front of his own net in the last minute of the game today, but all in all, a nice beginning for him in Saginaw. Lets hope he keeps it up.

Did you hear anything on Walsh?? He didn't comeback after he went into the boards in the third period. He was wearing a cage--was he already hurt, or does he usually wear it?

Did you hear anything on Walsh?? He didn't comeback after he went into the boards in the third period. He was wearing a cage--was he already hurt, or does he usually wear it? He was cut last night in Sarnia... Tonight, he received a hard check behind the Spirit net in the second and landed on his face (the cage). He then slowly skated back to the bench and sat there for a couple more plays. The whole time he sat on the bench he just rubbed and held his face... I think the cage may have done more harm than good...
