Todd Watson said Vellucci called him to see if he wanted to comeback to Plymouth and coach. Watson said "I can't". I'm sure he's under some sort of contract?

"I Can't" Not "I'm happy here" or "This is where I belong right now" or "I feel good where I am right now" It would have been nice to have a little more positive message than "I can't". Hopefully donzz was just paraphrasing and there was more to it than that.

I actually started typing that same message right after I first read that, but decided not to in case I was reading more into it than what it was... but obviously SOMEONE ELSE thought the same thing as me!!!

He said "of course, I can't". And didn't elaborate at all. I thought maybe Art would add a comment like why? or how come? or add his own .02 why not, but it didn't happen. That's why in my post above I added some "some sort of contract "? thinking one of you guys would know? Now they did talk about Tom's kids getting readjusted to schools here. And he did say that because of moving from the Plymouth area here and his children, he almost decided not to come here. So are we to assume because of that he doesn't want to move back? I dunno! Bottom line is, he's staying here and that's cool with me.

If I'm not mistaken Watson was signed to a 3 year contract.

It sounded like the "I can't" at the end of "I would if I could, but I can't"

Is there a web cast for the radio program if you are not in the Saginaw area?
I appreciate the help.

Did anyone catch this week's show (Monday, 11/17)?? If so, is there anything noteworthy to report?? Was the back up goaltending situation discussed at all??

OK, so it's the Spirit radio show 12/8...........good show tonight. Watson says he will be gone for the latter part of the week, ad it sounds like he is going hunting. A player, that is. Sounds like he might have 1 or 2 somebodies in mind, although he wasn't any more specific than that. Two interviews, with Jordan Skellett---who says he should be back Friday---and Joe Underwood, both of whom did an excellent job and were very well spoken. I swear Underwood has more of a Canadian accent than the guys from Canada!! I did not realize he is 5th in the OHL in +/-. Great job, Joe. Is anyone but me having a lot of trouble hearing 100.5? I get so much static I can hardly hear the voices. Tonight was a little better when I opened 2 different cupboard doors in the kitchen and sat on a high stool in between them! : )

Heard the show and Watson's comments about missing this Friday's game (and might miss Saturday as well) since he is "going out and hoping to bring someone back with him". This must mean the person he is after is not currently playing in the league otherwise a phone call could bring in a new player. Who could he bring in? John Parker is playing in Indy this weekend, Matt Hoyle is on Xmas break with Harvard and Saad will be playing in Ann Arbor against the NTDP. Hmmm. I say it's Saad, although I would prefer by some sort of miracle it be Hoyle.

Why would Todd miss both games if he was just going to Ann Arbor to get Saad? That doesn't make much sense. It would be nice to see any or all of those three in a Spirit uniform this year, but I would not hold my breath on it.
My gut is a backup goalie - maybe Daryl Borden, last of Oshawa. An '89 birth year goalie who we can use for this year and then cut loose. He wouldn't cost a player, just a pick, and it seems to make sense.
I have a feeling though that Todd might have something bigger in mind. Just a hunch, but I would not be surprised if this is something big. I guess we'll see come this weekend.

Is anyone but me having a lot of trouble hearing 100.5? I get so much static I can hardly hear the voices. Tonight was a little better when I opened 2 different cupboard doors in the kitchen and sat on a high stool in between them! : ) The only radio I can get this station on is in my wife's car and she had the car tonight. I was stuck at home finishing a remodeling job so I thought I would give the show a shot. Busted out the digital radio. Used up a whole roll of aluminum foil trying to make an extra antenna. Ate three bags of potato chips in foil lined bags. Duct taped that to a cardboard satelite dish I made. I pointed my makeshift antenna towards Delta College (the location of 100.5's tower and all I got was static. Then I turned my antenna ever so slightly and all I could get was 102.5, Digital radio said 100.5 but all I could get was 102.5,,,So I gave up and put in my Steppenwolf cd and cranked it. Ahh the beauty of being home alone. ;D
