2 bus trips have been planned for those who would like to follow the Spirit on the road...
Friday, October 26 at Sarnia Sting, 7:35 PM: Bus departs at 5:00 PM and will return immediately following the game. Cost is $30 for transportation and a ticket. Deadline to sign up is this Friday, October 19.
Sunday, December 2 at London Knights, 2:00 PM: Bus departs at 9:30 AM and will return following the game. Cost is $40 for transportation and a ticket, but only 54 spots are available. Sign up soon...it's not as easy to get tickets in London.
As usual, the bus departs and arrives from the Horizon's Conference Center on State Street in Saginaw.

We now have to have passports to travel to Canadia, correct? That's what's keeping me from signing up, I don't have one and really have no need for one except to go watch the Spirit play in Canada.

That is incorrect. You only have to have a passport if you are traveling by air. Vehicle traffic will not need a passport until 2008...

Nope not yet...for now you just need preferrably a driver's license and your birth certificate.

I see that the bus is leaving Saginaw next Friday at 5pm. Someone might want to see if that can be backed up to an earlier departure time. The Port Huron/Sarnia border crossing has been a disaster lately. In addition, you'll be crossing in the early evening on a Friday, which is a peak time at this location. Don't know what priority that charter busses may have, but traffic has routinely been backed up on I-69 for a long way. When we crossed over last Wednesday mid-afternoon, it took about 35 minutes and we have NEXUS cards.
JT (in Ottawa eagerly awaiting the Sens/Panthers game tonight and Spirit/67s game tomorrow)

John is right. Don't be surprised if you miss the beginning of the game. Two weeks ago we left home at 3:30 on our way to Niagara Falls and we were delayed over an hour at the border and that was just to cross the bridge. They only had one booth open taking money. We were delayed again after crossing the bridge at the border guard booth. All in all, a trip that should have taken 4.5 hours took 6. If the bus is stopping in Bridgeport to pick folks up that will add to the time.

So will the bus to Sarnia be full of Spirit fans?? Speaking of "Bus" will Van Buskirk get the start against his old mates?? I think he's earned it with his play last weekend.
