Just to keep everyone up to date. The rules concerning Passports for border crossings that were scheduled to take effect in January have been delayed. The expected date for requiring passports is sometime next summer. So it looks like, for now, you will be able to enter Canada using a driver's license and a birth certificate for the balance of this hockey season. Still no word on the proposed "pass-card" which is supposed to be cheaper than a passport to get, but has limited use. The pass-card is intended to be used by tourists in border states who frequently visit Canada and Mexico. That is a better option for those of us who like to travel to see hockey games but would like to do so at a lesser cost. Let's hope the government gets it's act together and gets going on the pass-card idea. If not, it looks like passports for everyone for next season. Peace. There is currently a card available that can greatly ease (read as speed up) crossing U.S.-Canadian borders. It is called a NEXUS card and a passport is *not* necessary to obtain one. Total cost is $50 for 5+ years. It permits you to cross in dedicated lines at both bridge toll booths and through customs on both sides of the border. We saved at least an hour when coming back fron Sarnia last Saturday morning. Further info can be found by Googling NEXUS.

Should not need anything but a drivers license or other photo id if you don't have a DL and Birth cert. for kids.

Yeah, but have you heard of the plans by the Governor of New York? He wants to give his 1 - 3 MILLION illegal aliens Drivers Liscenses, so that they "come out of the shadows" and can be counted. But with the Motor/Voter law, they will also be given voting priviledges! Hillary, a New York Senator, agrees with this plan.

Does she agree with this plan? It didn't appear to be very clear during the debate whether she was for or against it. lol.
