Maybe now is the time to make another job offer to him to bring him back to Saginaw! haha! I know he is doing Windsor games, but get him out of there & bring him back to Saginaw!

Radio business is really struggling. Not just the economy, but Ipods, IPhones and real time info off the internet. I think that is one of the reasons stations are already playing Christmas music. You can layoff the radio personality and just play recorded Xmas music.
Brady will find more work, perhaps back in Canada. I would take hiim over Ken Kal anyday of the week.

Wow, I haven't listened to WDFN in a while. That really sucks.

You are correct about that. I have Sirius and love it.

It's only a matter of time, but terrestrial radio as we know it is dying quickly.

i'm actually surprised that the spirit don't do their broadcasts completely web-based...i can't imagine there's that many people sitting by the radio looking all sepia-toned waiting for the next "listnin program" to start. You would think they could make more by doing it in-house. I don't know what the rest of the league does.

I listen on JoeFM every once in a while, when I'm in the car and not at the game is all. I wonder how much the Spirit pay to have their games broadcast...probably evens out with all the advertising that Joe does at the Dow.

A lot of people may not be at home listening to the games, but I know a lot do when they are in the car. I spend a lot of time in my vehicle and 97.3 is usually on the weekend nights when the Spirit are playing.
Lot of valid points made above about the diminishing of AM/FM radio, but I still think we are aways yet from it being totally defunct. I wish Brady well. He was a good announcer when he was here and I remember listening to his Talk Soup show on the FAN.

I'm working in Novi right now and so I listen to D&D in the morning on XYT on my 2 hour drive (last 15 miles takes 45 min.)and they were shocked. they were joking all morning "we'll be right back...well, maybe" type stuff it was funny, but yet quite serious, times are tough for anyone relying on advertising.
As for the Spirit broadcasting soley on the internet, I would not like that. I rarely listen over the internet, and I listen to Joe when I'm at the games.
