Per Loosepucks:
Saginaw gets: Connor Brown, Barrie's 3rd round pick in 2015, Windsor's 4th round pick in 2015
Ottawa gets: Jeremiah Addison

Hard to judge a trade straight away but my initial thoughts are that I'm not a fan of this move. While I've said Addison was not a first round talent, I still liked the way he was playing towards the end of last season. I thought he was going to have a break out season (45-50 pts) this year. Good luck to him in Ottawa.

I am not 100% convinced that Addison can be an everyday player in this league. I've seen freighters turn quicker in the Saginaw River Basin. This could be pay back for the David Perklin trade. One bad skater for another.

A tough-ish guy and two pretty high picks for a 3rd liner...I'll take it any day of the week. Thanks for your effort Addison and good luck in Ottawa!

Brendan Perlini was available on draft day instead of Addison. Perlini is now a #1 pick of PHX. He is a Detroit area kid who played at Belle Tire. Looks like he might have been a good fit.

First trade of many, I suspect. I'm an Addison fan, but this looks like a decent return (always assuming the Spirit do well on drafting the picks....) Good luck in Ottawa, Jeremiah.

Does Brown do as much as ADDISON PLUS PICKS looks good.

Does Brown do as much as ADDISON PLUS PICKS looks good. Not really sure what you're saying here but from the stats, Addison is a much better player than Brown. Brown will probably fill a role for us where Addison would have been expected to be a contributor. Brown is a career (-51) so that's a bit concerning but that always has to do with your team and your line so hopefully it's overrated in his case.

Asked a Ottawa fan on anther board what kind if player we were gettin and the basic description he gave me sounded like Brown is a less skilled version of Sadowy.

If he is Sadowy without the skill, then I would prefer Addison. Time will tell. The picks make it palatable. With the usual caveat.

I just don't see Addison doing much this year and while there's been guys over the years that have surprised me, I'd rather turn Addison into 3 players than have him just be an average player for us. I agree with your caveat

The trade seems to have worked out for both teams. Jeremiah Addison has 5 goals in 17 games with the 67s. And I absolutely love what Connor Brown is bringing to the Spirit.
