The Spirit have acquired 18-year old forward Devon Paliani from the Sudbury Wolves for a 12th round draft pick. The team expects Paliani to be in the lineup at some point this weekend. According to Sudbury's press release, Paliani played in 5 games this season and recorded 13 PIMs.

Paliani was highly sought after by NCAA teams but committed to the OHL in June of 2014. He was originally drafted in the OHL by Kingston in the 14th round. He is NHL draft eligible this year being a later birthday (October).

Yeah 54 points in 49 games in the GOJHL last year as a 17 yr old. Pretty decent numbers.
Interesting. Have to see what type of game he has.

According to the OHL website Paliani is serving a 2 game suspension eligible to return Oct 22nd. He may join the team but not on the ice this weekend

He would have served one game of that suspension already since Sudbury played on Friday. That would mean he would be eligible tomorrow against Guelph more than likely.

He may join the team but not on the ice this weekend The OHL lists October 22nd because that is Sudbury's first game after the two games have been served. Game two is tonight, so he is now eligible to return October 19th for the Spirit.

I would have responded exactly the same way as the coach! He answered the question several times. The reporter seemed to be a tool. Coach finally snapped. I get it!
