According to Sean Lafortune Saginaw has acquired defensemen Troy Henley and a pick for Ryan Orban. Now we know why Sean was dealt this morning.

Glad to see we got something---anything---back for Orban. Looks like a pretty good swap on paper. But I still don't like the Callaghan deal.
I wonder if Orban's unhappiness here had any effect on Tye Felhaber's reluctance to report?

I wonder if Orban's unhappiness here had any effect on Tye Felhaber's reluctance to report? Good point, but Felhaber is getting all the minutes he can handle, and then some. He can have no complaints about playing time here. I had same thoughts on what Henley heard from Addison about Saginaw.

Everything I've heard about the Felhaber situation is agent related or just plan distance from Ottawa to Saginaw. Nothing to do with coaching. I think Orban was more angry he was passed on the depth chart by Middleton, Crawford, and others this year as opposed to something last season.

Orban looked slow and is he really legit tough ? Never saw him actually fight time to move on .

The Felhaber thing seemed like nothing more than leverage to get a better edu package. I'm surprised more picks don't play that card.

I heard numerous reasons as to why TF was reluctant to report, any one of which could or could not be true. I believe he and Orban played in the same Ottawa Midgets league, IIRC, so it's a pretty sure thing they were at least acquainted. The one thing I never heard was that the "holdout" was related to coaching in any way.

Felhaber was on board with the Spirit from draft day. The issue was the distance from home but it was NOT Felhaber who was concerned about it.
As for Orban, extremely disappointed that he wanted out, especially considering he was getting top 4 minutes and I thought was playing pretty well. And I am angered that he left the team high and dry when they were already shorthanded at D. That's a BS move if you ask me and shows his character, or lack thereof. Good luck to him in Ottawa but I am surely not too disappointed to see him go.
