With Stephens out injured and Gilmour away at the U17 tourney, this suspension comes at a very bad time. Three games this week without those 3 in the lineup means some other guys need to step up. So whose it going to be?

Sadowy got two games for the punch and two games for the games he played after.

So any explanation as to why Gilbert thought Sadowy could play against Erie? Did Sadowy play Sunday against Kitchener too? Totally unacceptable! Sadowy does something stupid and then the head coach compounds it by playing him when he shouldn't have.

The penalty wasn't handed down until after the two games Dylan played. So I'm not sure how that works really.

OK. That's what I was wondering.

good to see the team get 6-8 possible points and not the easiest schedule a long with missing 3 top players. Well done boys. 7th in the conference and I believe a top 5 team at the end if Cormier can make some stops.

The game sheet on the OHL website only shows a misconduct so there should not have been an automatic 2 game suspension associated with it.

It wasn't that bad at all, but he shouldn't have done it. That being said, if you watch the video, McLeod's slow is hitting the Spirit players' gloves as he skates by, all the way down the bench. He shouldn't have been there and knew exactly what he was doing. But as is often the case, it's the retaliation that gets called.

Yes Dylan retaliated (I would have too). Was it worth 4 games? NO! A game MAYBE. McLeod should have been penalized as well for first making contact with players on the Saginaw bench. And the punch wasn't that bad. My grandma could have taken that punch.

It was only a two game suspension, but the Spirit played him in Erie and Kitchener so the league doubled the suspension to 4 games and fined the Spirit.

The Spirit have gotten 5 points since the punch in four games (if you count Mississauga as 1 more point). If we get 4 or more points out of the next three games, then we should have someone punch a showboating opponent again from the bench, as this seems to fire up the team.
