Does anybody know what's going on with Jason Mcdonough? He has been out of the lineup for 4-5 games now. I dont recall him being injured or suspended.

I believe he has concussion like symptoms as the result of a fight.

He has played after the fight that knocked him out.

I heard he has been having headache problems so I just assumed it was due to the couple of fights that he didn't do so hot in...

The St. Mike's game was Oct. 27th. Jay also dropped 'em with Ronny Rogers in Erie on Nov. 17th. He did well in this bout, but left the bench shortly thereafter and didn't return to the game. IIRC, he hasn't played since.

Jay played in Oshawa tonight. He didn't play a regular shift, but still got a fair amount of ice time. We'd been told in the BLC last weekend that he wouldn't return until after the Christmas break.
Update: Jay will not be playing this weekend. May be back after the Christmas break.

From what I am hearing, he is still having problems from the concusion. I had heard he went home to see a specialist, not sure if he is back yet.

Talked briefly to Jay at tonight's game. He said he has been medically cleared to play and has to work himself back into the line-up.

That's good news and glad he is feeling better. It's going to be tough as Watson seems to have too many forwards with 3 or 4 players sitting out every night. Why doesn't he rotate the lines a little better. I see some sitting way to long and for development and for next season they need to be playing once in a while. Allicock plays with some edge and hasn't been playing, Ogilvy rotates in but has been sitting more and Neily and Sol still hasn't played a game but are here.
