I am posting this on behalf of the Yellow Ribbon Guard to solicit items for donation to help our cause. Throughout the year our organization provides mailings to local soldiers deployed to the Middle East. We also reach out to the families of fallen soldiers, veterans, and wounded soldiers that need our assistance.
Our main focus this time of year is our Send Santa to the Troops drive during which we collect everyday items, holiday items and monetary donations to help pay for shipping. These items are then packaged up and shipped to soldiers that are deployed to the Middle East over the Holidays to let them have a little touch of home and let them know we appreciate their sacrifices.
Stuff-the-Bus Weekend November 19th – 21st
--Nov. 19th – Garber Buick, State St., Saginaw – 5am to 7pm
--Nov 20th ~Suski Chevrolet, Main St., Birch Run – 8am to 4pm
~Glen’s Market, Wright Ave., Alma – 8am to 4pm
~Saginaw Spirit Game, Dow Event Center, Saginaw - 5:30pm to 7pm
--Nov. 21st - Kmart Parking Lot Euclid and Wilder, Bay City - 8am to 5pm
This is our final weekend to collect items and monetary donations. With over 1200 troops currently deployed or stationed overseas from the Great Lakes Bay Region and surrounding areas we need your help to make sure our Troops have a piece of home in time for the holiday’s.
Please stop by and see us in the Atrium on your way into the game on the 20th. We will be selling Saginaw Spirit Support Our Troops t-shirts for just $10 in the Atrium before the game and at the main merchandise stand throughout the game. Proceeds go to benefit our cause. We will also be accepting donations in the Atrium prior to the game.
