I guess since we are saying farewell to Cameron, I guess I would like to take this time to welcome Terry Ficorelli to the Saginaw Spirit - and the Saginaw area. Glad to have you here!

i am receptive to change. always have been. so when i heard about this guy coming in to do the games, i was pretty upbeat about it. after hearing him now i have one thing to say. he has by far the most excruciatingly boring voice i have ever heard. he doesnt sound like he is calling a game, he sounds like he is reading a story to a bunch of kindergardners. his voice is slow and droll and its all i can do not to fall asleep and veer into a ditch listening to him. he sounds like one of those audio book voices. im sorry, he is nice im sure, but this isnt the job for him. we need someone who shows enthusiasm, and calls the game with honest to goodness excitement. if im in the mood to hear one of winnie the pooh's adventures, ill give him a call. otherwise, my reaction to him can best be summorized this way. ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

i tuned into him for the 3rd period today and truthfully, I didn't think it was that bad. It's an obvious contrast from Greg Brady and Cameron but I didn't think it was too bad. I can definitely see why people are snoozing but once we get used to him, he'll become a part of our culture here...we'll get used to the way he does it and the next guy will be all peppy and we'll think that's annoying.
oh well, i only listen to 5 or 6 games so I won't be as affected as some of you.

I think part of the problem with the Thursday night game, and even this weekends I would assume (I missed both weekend games) is that there are still some nerves to factor in with being at a new job. Also, it takes a while for a guy to learn the team, learn the history, & develop a feeling for a team, and therefore if he has no feelings one way or the other for the Spirit before coming here, they are not "his" team yet & therefore can't get excited over them (on a personal level - which would carry over into his voice/broadcast) quite yet. I think after a couple more games he will settle in just fine & see this team as his own (the same way any of us do) & the names & numbers & all the info will just start to flow more freely than it is now. I am sure that a lot of what he does have to say IS written down in front of him & he has to read "cheat sheets" for a while until he does get to know the team, players, league, history, etc. He will get better. You don't have a 30+ year career in this business if you are bad at it! I will give him some time.

Give him a chance....geez. I listened to the entire game on Sunday and I thought Fic did a great job. Now, I am a bit biased because I knew him from before, but I think he has a great scooooooooore call and is very entertaining. I respect everyone's opinion but please, give Terry a chance. He has been around broadcasting 30+ years. Despite being new to the area, entirely new to the league, I thought he has done an admirable job so far.

I didn't listen to his play by play but I listened to him after the London game on the way home. If he talks that slow during the game his calls must be about 10 minutes behind the actual play. haha.

Terry's style is much different than Greg Brady. Yes, he does talk a little slower during pre/post game. But during the game he is very good. I miss Brady. I miss Cameron. However Terry does a good job. I love Cameron, but he didn't have the experience that Greg or Terry have. I was impressed with Terry's call of the game on Sunday. Bottom line - Terry's style is different, give him some time. Holmes had a great comment Sunday. Brampton scored what appeared to be the tying goal late in the third. Warren's comment was something to the affect of 'oh no, they're going to review if....' alluding to the call in Sarnia. lol.

This guy is by far the most annoying person I have ever listened to in my life, I have no idea how people can listen to him for a long period of time. Listening to the road games used to be enjoyable, but now it's just annoying. Hopefully he does not stick around or gets 110% better.

If he does stick around hopefully he'll grow on us. That and Warrens ahhhhhhh ahhhhhh. My son mocks him on the post game show all the way home. lol I admit it was very annoying at first but it doesn't bother me as much now.

This is my 1st time listening to Fic. He is definitely different than Brady or Cam but not doing a bad job. Some of his lines are actually pretty funny, and different than I have heard from other announcers. Let's give this guy a chance.
