Wally Shaver came to the Gears at the start of the 1973-74 season. He remained there for 4 seasons and, other than Al Blade, he was one of the longest running voices of Gears hockey. I contacted Wally and he has been nice enough to add a piece to the Saginaw Gears dot com web site. It is up and running right now.
