If i'm not mistaken, that's where TJ Brodie spent the majority of last season and he seems to be a solid player, so i'd imagine that this kid could put up at least a point every other game at forward.

Well folks, Saginaw is done adding players for this season. With the signing of Zane they have used all 30 player cards. Even thought the press release says he won't be joining the team until later this season, rosters need to be set by 6pm tonight. By my count, all 30 player cards have now been used. That does not mean the Spirit won't ship somebody off to another team. If they do, they will only be receiving draft picks in return.

Isn't it possible that the Spirit won't need to use a Player Card for Neily? If he doesn't come here until his Junior B team completes it's season, couldn't the team use a Junior B/Affiliate Card? IIRC, Junior B teams end their seasons much earlier than the OHL.

It is possable that means he will join the team after his current team's season is over. The team may have used it's last card on Cody Sol. He has already played in 10 games so they would have had to use a card on him or he can't play anymore until his team's season is over. Either way, the deadline has passed and the roster is set. Well we now know what "will join the Spirit later this season" means. Craig Goslin said in the Blue Line Club last night that Zane will be joining the team next week.

any word on zane? is he here in town? and how is his upper body injury? is he expected to play in the upcoming games? I was told we are in for a treat with him hopefully that is true.

Neily was the leading scorer on his Jr.B. team in Brantford and last played a game with them on January 3rd.
He is listed as no longer with the team so I'd assume he's already in transit or in town.
He has scored 23 goals and 33 assists in 56 games with Brantford.
