I was wondering how Dennis Desrosiers was doing. We haven't gotten an update on his health in several months. Hopefully, he is doing better.

Sorry you couldn't listen. Dennis is in good spirits and was joking about his condition. He thanked all the well wishers, but said he wasn't surprised by how much people sent him well wishes, because Saginaw has always been very good to him.
Dr. James Mick, his Endovascular Surgeon from St. Mary's, said Dennis is in the 1/3 of the population who have this condition who make a very quick and nearly full recovery. Apparently, 1/3 die immediately, 1/3 struggle to recover and 1/3 do well.
Dr. Mick added that Neil Young and Sharon Stone have also had this condition, to which Dennis added "I can't wait for the reunion!".
When asked about his golf game, I chimed in that Dennis beat me by 19 strokes, to which Dennis answered "but Cam, the way you play, that's not exactly a feather in my cap!"
All in all, it's great seeing Dennis doing so well.

Thank you Cameron for the update on Rosie. It is great that you were able to provide us with the information. I think it is really beneficial that a member of the Saginaw Spirit organization is willing to take an active role in this message board and give the fans information when possible.

From today's Saginaw News: www.mlive.com/sports/saginawnews/index.ssf?/base/sports-0/1187967151200790.xml&coll=9I've been a Saginaw hockey fan since the early 70's, and there has yet to be bigger fan favorite than Dennis. I can remember nights where he would get into a fight to get his team going, or other nights where he'd score a big goal to get the Gears a win. I'll never forget the night the Gears were playing the Kalamazoo Wings in the playoffs. The Wings were a bunch of goons and were taking liberties with star players for the Gears. A couple of Wings players, Len Ircadia (sp?) and Alvin White (both goons) were mouthing off to Rosie as he skated down the ice. The next thing you knew the two of them went after Rosie. All three guys received game mis-conducts. The Gears went on to win the series and the Turner Cup. That summer I ran into Rosie and we talked about that play. He said he thought it was a pretty good tradeoff. They lost two players wjhile the Gears only lost one. Glad to hear Rosie's doing great.
