Greetings from Guelph, Ontario...currently in my hotel room with a not so good internet connection, but nonetheless my family and I are on our annual vacation to Guelph and will be attending the game tonight. Obviously it's a big game which we need to get back in the race of the 5-7 playoff seeds. Guelph is on fire right now and we're coming off our worst performance of the season. We've just got to forget the Sarnia game and come out strong tonight. Last year the game I came here for we won 7-2, so hopefully we'll have a similar result. Let's go Spirit!

Saginaw leads it 2-1 after 2 periods. Huge 3rd period coming up for Saginaw if they want to put that debacle against Sarnia behind them.

Sounding like a hard-fought, well played game. Daniels has been great so far.
Shanghai, what time is it over there, anyway? For that matter, what DAY is it?
EDIT--Another Storm PP. Talk about playing with dynamite.

Back from the game...what a great job the Spirit did tonight in a packed/hostile environment. Definitely a playoff atmosphere tonight. It wasn't pretty at times but Daniels made the big saves when we needed. Combs 3rd goal was obviously huge as the Storm were pressuring us. All in all, just what the doctor ordered for the Spirit. Hopefully this momentum carries over for tomorrow's game.
Speaking of Sarnia...they put a whoopin' on Owen Sound tonight 9-1.

In two words, the reason the Spirit won tonight was RYAN DANIELS. Best phrase to describe his performance was that "he stood on his head" making key saves. We sat in the Club (upper) level, directly behind the goal the Spirit defended in the 1st and 3rd periods, so we had an excellent view of what he did, and it was spectacular.
The rest of the team also played very, very well tonight. Shots on Goal were not indicative of how even the game was played.
For the life of me, cannot figure why the PA announcers in some of these arenas insist on calling Jack Combs "Coombs". Must be a Canadian thing. They finally started pronouncing his name correctly after his 2nd goal.
JT (in St. Kitts)
