Happy Valentine's Day everybody. Back to business tonight as the Spirit travel south to take on the Windsor Spitfires. The Spits have played very well as of late...currently on a 4 game winning streak to get themselves back into the divisional title race with the Soo. The Spirit have also won 2 straight and are certainly capable of going into other team's rinks and getting a point or two. Looking up at the standings, we've got 2 games in hand on both Guelph and Sarnia, and we are currently up 11 points with 3 in hand on 9th place Owen Sound. So a victory tonight would really put some serious distance between us and the Attack, as well as putting pressure on Guelph. Time to make these games in hand count. Let's go Spirit!!!

Time to make these games in hand count. Let's go Spirit!!! Exactly!! The games in hand mean nothing unless they win or at least get a point out of them.

I see Greenop and Jarram went at it in the 1st period with Greenop getting 2-5-10 for instigating and Jarram only getting 5. Any comments on the tilt??

Looks like Saginaw weathered the storm and hung on for a 3-2 win according to the on line scoresheet. Way to go boys!! Magic number for clinching a playoff spot is down to 14 points.

Great game by the Spirit!!!!!!
Jaraam played an excellent game. He delivered a hard check on Hall and Greenop came to the rescue and started the fight.
The fight was fairly even with both getting a couple shots in.
Watson called a timeout a shift or two after Windsor had scored thier second goal to settle the team down. This move turned out to be just what the doctor ordered and they settled down and played very well the rest of the way with Windsor only getting one real chance.
Ryan Daniels played very well with Windsor only getting the initial shot and no second chances thanks to his rebound control and the defensive effort of the Spirit.

My co-workers tonight were kind enough to let me listen to the game. (OK--I threatened to go home sick if they didn't let me listen to the game......) Bothersome sick people kept interfering w/ my listening, but w/ 3 min to go I stood under the radio and heard the conclusion. WOW! Exciting game--I could hardly breathe there at the end! (Great call for the last 5 minutes, Fic!!!) Big win, especially IN Windsor. Now for the love of God, guys, come home and play like that against Plymouth tomorrow night!!!!!!!

Agree with all the above and cannot add anything worth saying. Continuing my rant on mispronunciations by PA announcers at away games, the guy in Windsor Arena really outdid himself on Thursday night. Combs was Coombs (again) until the 3 stars were announced McDonough was McDonahue (unbelievable) Chappell was Sha' pell (a little understandable) Sinfield was Signfield Understand the TV guys didn't do much better.
