This is a really good article on what Ryan O'Marra is doing after retiring from professional hockey. I think it's a really interesting story about how a former 1st round draft pick was able to fall back onto his educational package.

Just have to wonder how much that knee injury in the opening round of the playoffs impacted his career. Nice to see his success outside of hockey.

Ryan O"Marra is the first big name player I believe the Spirit traded for during the season in the Saginaw Spirit's attempt to "go for" an OHL championship in 2006-07.

I looked back on that team and it was stacked to make a run. Unfortunately, it ran into a really solid first round opponent in Sault Ste. Marie.

I just went down to Grand Rapids Wednesday night to see the Griffins game. Eddie Pasquale was in goal for GR & looked so-so. He was fighting the puck all night & it seemed like he had a hard time seeing it. Gave up 5 goals but the Griffins still won 6-5. Dylan Sadawy was a scratch for the game.

Greg Gilbert has been co-hosting a show on NHL Network Radio on Sirius/XM radio in the afternoon. I can only listen while I am in the car so I don't know how long he is on, but he has been a contributing reporter on there for quite some time, they just recently started having him in the studio doing the co-hosting thing.
