Wow--no thread?? It wasn't THAT horrible, guys. We didn't play badly, with one notable exception, and we did get a point, to tie Guelph and Plymouth (who lost). But this one is pretty simple to sum up. You get a 5 on 3 with 2:30 left in the game and you don't score--you don't deserve to win. I'm not going to go back and look it up--because with this crowd, I'm pretty sure someone will do it for me..... --but I am so glad this is Bradley Snetsinger's last year in the O. The guy has freakin' killed us every way imaginable over the years we've played him. Let New Jersey have him next season!!! 2 G/2 A and 2 shots off the ankle tonight. Congrats to Zane Nealy on his first OHL goal--a beauty. Was Daniels yelling at the ref after the last goal?? (from the other end, it is tough to figure out what's going on) Did he think he was interfered with, maybe? Looked like the guys took this one hard--they stayed down on the ice long after the goal was scored. Props to Windsor though--3 games in 3 days after not playing in 11 days, and they get 5 of 6 points this weekend. Not to mention the extra stuff they've had to deal with.

We had friends with us at the game tonight. One said that should wrap it up, and I darkly commented, "you haven't seen our PP lately"..........At least we didn't give up a short-handed goal.
By the way, I thought tonight's game was reasonably well officiated, EXCEPT for the bozos who broke up Jarram-Greenop before they ever laid a finger on each other AND gave them both 10s!! And I'm REALLY mad because for the first time all season the whole thing was unfolding directly in front of me!

And I'm REALLY mad because for the first time all season the whole thing was unfolding directly in front of me! Then you are going to be really mad at me because it was the correct call. Anytime two guys square off and remove their helmets and just skate around like a couple of prize fighters, but don't go right away, the refs are going to step in and the call is 10 misconducts. You may not like it, but the refs got it right.

Yeah, I know they did, bp--just letting off steam because I've never seen Greenop fight, and I thought I was finally going to get the chance..........

You pretty much echo my thoughts as well, sf8. After we didn't score on that 5-on-3 at the end, we didn't deserve to win this game. I thought we got lazy in the last 10 minutes of the 3rd period, or maybe just tired. Kudos to Windsor tonight, they just wanted it more and it didn't seem like we were playing with a sense of urgency. Seeing them play the way they played tonight, I would have never guessed it was their 3rd game in 3 nights.
Speaking of which, I wonder if Coach Watson will start Daniels again tomorrow. The kid HAS to be tired...playing 4 games in 4 1/2 days is a lot to ask of a goaltender, IMO.
THANK GOD this is Bradley Snetsinger's last year in the OHL. He's like Windsor's version of Josh Godfrey...we just can't shut him down.
But looking at positives, we gain a point on everyone tonight and move up to 6th place in the standings. Everyone's got 7 games left. Let's finish strong.

I think we'll be seeing Daniels again tomorrow. I don't think a big game at Plymouth is an ideal time to be seeing what Lepera's got. RD will have to suck it up!! (I have faith that he will) Reading your post did remind me that Godfrey is Outta Here after this year, also. With the two of them gone, we should be set up for the Western Conference title, at a bare minimum!!!!

With 3 teams tied for 5th and the 8th place team only 1 point behind how can you not go with Daniels. He played 60 games last year, hes been great all weekend and we need him to get hot. 4 in 4.5 big deal pay the price and get the job done.
I read somewhere on the forum that Pasquale should be back for Sunday however I would be shocked if he started against plymouth, its a battle for 5th you go with your veteran

This is sort of off topic, but... did anyone else notice the Combs give awayathon last night? Counted 3 in a row on the one powerplay.

Combs was in a fog all game. I hope he has not hit the wall. Watson plays him a ton and his shifts last wayyyyyyyyy too long. He has every right to be exhausted.

The Spouse and I both commented that he skated like he was exhausted the entire third period and OT. And as bad as the giveaways--I saw several times where he didn't make the effort to get a stick down--or was too slow doing it--and the puck went out or by him. Yes some (many) of his shifts are too long, but this looked like something else.

I don't think Combs has the right to be tired, plenty of other guys are getting long(er) shifts. However, if he is that tired he doesn't have to stay on the ice for 2 1/2 minutes. To me, that is being selfish.

May have just been imagining it, but to me it looked like both teams were rather tentative last night, like both were afraid to let the other run away with it. Obviously Windsor got the best of that, but still.
We definitely should have scored on the 5 on 3. The game wasn't really exciting for the score and the fact that it's a division rival.
Thought I was going to see my first shootout of the season...was less than two minutes away when our boys had one of their momentary lapses and cost us the game. It happens I suppose. It was the second one of the night and the second one that led to a goal. Not Daniels' fault, I don't think. I expect him to start in Plymouth.
Good to see Juri Fischer on the ice last night. For those who didn't make the shocks and saves game, he played with a big smile on his face the whole time, kept turning around on the bench to pose for photos, and seemed very happy to be on the ice. Don Edwards was playing too, and tripped Juri up in the third period trying to stop his shot on goal. It was a cool little game though.

To me, that is being selfish. Everyone has been talking about Combs being selfish with his long shifts. Well if Watson didn't want him out there, then he wouldn't be out there unless Combs is running the team, in which case we have bigger problems than 2 1/2 minute shifts.

You people need to wake up and start looking at mcdoungh. He makes 5 times more mistakes than combs in any given game.
