Wow, that sounds like a thread topic---"Favorite Spirit Player of All Time". And just like that we have a new thread. In fact I'm going to take this one step further. Everyone that wants to, submit a top 10 favorite list to the thread. I'll give every player that is ranked 1st 10 points, 2nd 9 points, and so on. I'll tally the points up and make a definitive list of the favorite Spirit players of all time based on the lists of Spirit fans. Let's say keep this open until the end of the month. (SGF if there's anyway to keep this thread at the top until then, that would be great) To Start off, here's my list: 1) Vincent Trocheck 2) Tom Pyatt 3) Brad Walch 4) Jordan Szwarz 5) Garret Ross 6) Josh Shalla 7) Brandon Saad 8) Eddie Pasquale 9) T.J. Brodie 10) Steve Dix HM: Tyler Murovich, Jan Mursak, Patrick McNeill I was 11 when the team came here so my list has a more modern feel to it, but that's why I'm asking everyone else to throw out a list. |

Well, since I started it.....
As noted previously, these are not necessarily the best ever for the Spirit (although many were). They are just my favorites.
Half a point for Honorable Mention??

Honorable Mention: Nick Crawford, Francois Tuthot, Ryan McDonough (wow, this IS tough.)
If you want to do a LEAST favorite Spirit list, that would be fun, too!!!

Ten was tough for me too, but I figured I'd get enough difference between lists that I'd get a good number of guys represented. For the final list I'm going to list the top 20 point getters. SF8, not a bad idea for HM. I'll give half a point (3 HM's only though. Otherwise there's not a point in putting a limit on 10 for people's lists).

Originally I wasn't going to count HM's for anything. I just listed some (there were alot more then who I listed) of the guys that were just outside of my top 10 for reference. So you could list 100 players if you like, but I'm only counting points for the top 10 and up to 3 HM's. Side note: I took Pyatt, Asselin, and Comrie as your 3 HM's. If you want them to be someone else of that list let me know. |

1. Steve Dix 2. Steve Dix 3. Steve Dix 4. Steve Dix 5. Steve Dix 6. Steve Dix 7. Steve Dix 8. Steve Dix 9. Steve Dix 10. Steve Dix He was the basically the only reason to go to the first couple of seasons and deserves all 10 spots in my book. Saad was the best player to come through Saginaw and I loved watching him play but I'm still giving all 10 spots to Dix  |
