People this is Hockey-- a Winter Sport-- dress accordingly.
Do you go to a Tigers game and complain that it is too hot while wearing a parka or sweat shirt?
You can't play hockey without ice and as the temperature of the building goes up the ice gets soft and we see that the puck bounces significantly more.
If you do get a chill maybe you could get into the game and cheer your team on and this will warm you up.

I'd like to suggest that they install a thick glass pod over the playing surface & keep the teperature COLD under there, hence good ice. Then the rest of the arena should be set at about 90 degrees so we can wear shorts & T-shirts to the games. They must also serve margaritas & drinks with little umbrellas in them & play tropical music. A few palm trees scattered throughout the arena would be a nice touch, as well. OH, and they MUST raise our taxes to help pay for it! We'd need to do that for sure.
or
We could wear a sweatshirt or our jackets & maybe a hat... and gloves... whichever.
Sorry - I am up way too early & feeling a little feisty today. That was my BAD attempt at sarcastic humor for the day. Stay warm, kiddies!

Ummm, I can see it now, no need to worry about fans getting hit with the puck, no more nets at the ends of the rink, the players could play the puck off the dome, this could be sweet! awesome idea SGF, I'm going to get to work on the design right away. ;D Oh, and someone told me they are selling margaritas at the games, over where Cardinal Deli was.
