In Friday, August 24th's Saginaw News there was a very small article that mentioned that the Saginaw Spirit have hired John Kisil as an assistant head coach. Kisil coached the Midget AAA Honeybaked team that played in the Midwest Elite Hockey League last season according to the article.
The article went on to mention that Saginaw was still looking for an assistant coach with OHL experience. Bill Paige will return to be a part-time assistant coach while Randy Wilson was not rehired.
I was surprised no one read this in yesterday's paper and posted it. The article is on C2 of yesterday's Saginaw News and includes a quote from GM Don Edwards.

Still nothing on the Spirit website or m-live.com regarding this hire. Just surprised especially if it was reported already in the SNews print version.
