The OHL will begin requiring players to wear neck protection during OHL games following the incident in February with Richard Zednik of the NHL who's neck was cut by a skate during a game. The requirement begins March 10.
I think this is a good move. It's actually surprising this sort of thing doesn't happen more often. Good to see the OHL stepping up on this one.
