Don't know if this will affect the attendance this Saturday, but it's Easter weekend.
Someone earlier asked about Spring Break...in Midland and bay City it's the week of March 31st.

I know that the scheduling for next Wednesday's game four will affect the attendance, as my fiancee and I will likely not be there that night. I have to work and she has class...I may get out of work if it looks like it could be our last home playoff game this year, but otherwise I won't be there. Sucks, because I planned on hitting every single home playoff game this season. I thought they tried to stick to the weekends last season...maybe I'm wrong.

Thought I'd post the REVISED schedule for this series here. I know it's already in the Saturday game post, but in case anyone is looking for it (as I just was), it is now in the series schedule post too...
Game 2 Monday 3/24 at the Soo Game 3 Wednesday 3/26 at Saginaw Game 4 Thursday 3/27 at Saginaw * Game 5 Saturday 3/29 at the Soo * Game 6 Monday 3/31 at Saginaw * Game 7 Tuesday 4/1 at the Soo * If necessary

Despite having an unfortunate cancelled game, the series now shifts to something that makes actual sense for schedule/transportation for the two teams. The OHL is supposed to be "the closest" to the NHL yet the playoffs in no way mirror the format of the pros. The 1-1-1-1-1-1-1 format DOUBLES the amount of transportation that is needed for the first 4 games between the Soo and Saginaw. My illustration below is based on playing the game Saturday night:
1-1-1-1-1-1-1 Series Fri. AM (Sag 400 miles) Game 1 @ SSM Fri. PM (SSM & Sag 400 miles) Game 2 @ Saginaw Sat. PM (SSM 400 miles) Mon. AM (Sag 400 miles) Game 3 @ SSM Mon. PM (Sag 400 miles) Wed. AM (SSM 400 miles) Game 4 @ Sag Wed. PM (SSM 400 miles)
That gives each team 1600 miles in travel for 4 games in 6 days.
2-2-1-1-1 Series (if played on same days) Fri. AM (Sag 400 miles) Game 1 @ SSM Game 2 @ SSM Sat. PM (Sag 400 miles) Mon. AM (SSM 400 miles) Game 3 @ Saginaw Game 4 @ Saginaw Wed. PM (SSM 400 miles)
That would cut the travel time in half, give the players more rest and probably lead to a series more entertaining than game one already was. Personally, I think the league is crazy for allowing teams to schedule the 1-1-1-1-1-1 format.

Agreed, dj. This has to be a holdover from the days when almost all teams were an hour or less apart and gas was cheap.
