Yeah, they probably put 50 percent more water in it. lol. What about those of us who don't drink alcohol? It'd be nice to see a discount on pop or something. When I saw discounted concessions, I thought maybe everything would have a slight discount. Ah well, can't please everyone I guess. Glad the drinkers will be happy I suppose.

Yeah, I think it should be on all drinks. I hate cold drinks in arenas...unless in Canada. However, bring on the hot coco.

I just read the site and it said --
"Popcorn, medium soft drinks and king size candy bars will be sold for $1.00 each, plus fans can receive a special $1.00 off coupon for a frozen drink at TheDow Event Center’s Frosty Coconut Bar!"
So soft drinks are included, plus food. That's freaking sick.

Half price beer huh? If Davis is refing it could turn out to be quite an interesting night at my end of the arena. The "fans" at my end HATE that man and they let him know it. Fortunately it's a weekday and most will behave themselves. ( I hope)

All college students with a valid ID also get into the games for free.

Wow. They are going to take a hit on that one! this is actually more of a goodwill gesture on the part of SMG and the Arena...I don't know the exact deal that the Spirit have in place but I do know that their rent somehow depends on butts in the seats and not "paid ticket sales." They probably also get some sort of cut on concessions but not necessarily beer. I'm sure this half price deal is SMG foregoing their share of the cost in an effort to get back in the good graces of the hockey club

Hope that: a) the Spirit win these games b) the refs do a good job c) there is extra security hired for all the people coming for the $2.50 beer

About time they did something special like this. I always said 4,000 fans in the building at 1/2 price admission spending $$$ on concessions, programs, souvenirs, etc. is better than 2,000 fans paying full price at a much reduced profit on concessions, programs, souvenirs, etc.
I think they realized people have a sour taste in their mouth from Saturday and without the corporate season ticket holders buying playoff tickets, their walk up crowd for a mid week game will not be that great, especially with the team trailing 2-0 in the series.

I think the fans in Saginaw will surprise a lot of people - I think there will be crowds near or over 3000 for each game. For mid-week & no season tickets, that is not too bad.

Had to love the beer specials last night! What you didn't have to love was the fact that the two stands that had Bud Light and Coors Light (not the regular concession stands) had poor showings. The one closest to the Blue Line Club was out of Bud Light for awhile, then out of Coors Light, and before the third period had a tap with a stream that only trickled out of the end. The one on the south side of the arena ran out of Bud Light as well. For the love of god, if you're going to run a special that causes a higher rate of consumption, make sure you have kegs on hand to handle it! But hey, at least the ice was good eh? That's PRICELESS ;D

Popcorn was free with your ticket stub last night. One per customer (they punched your ticket). Can't complain about that deal.
